"SURVIVOR" is a traditional Dutch motor barge of the "Kagenaar" type, probably constructed as a commercial cargo carrier. Reportedly she was built around 1934/5 and converted into residential/pleasure use at a later date. The most recent hull survey is June 2013 and last out of the water July 2008. "Kagenaar" were a type of small cargo barge developed in the Netherlands which could navigate shallow and smaller waterways with a flat deck, primarily used to transport fresh produce in boxes or loose.
