An excellent example of a Broom 36 manufactured in 1997. She is in very good condition, complete with a log of all work (including winterisation and re-commissioning) carried out by her current owners since 2010.
On her current pontoon mooring, she is accessed by steps at the stern up to a gate and the command bridge. There is also a retractable ladder and access to the bathing platform from this position. The command bridge itself consists of layered teak flooring with seating for 5 in 2 separate bench seats that have locker space beneath. Cushions are available for these seats although not shown in the photos. Wide side decks with stainless steel guard rails allow easy and safe navigation around the vessel and there are baskets for storing fenders, as well as the anchor with an electric anchor windlass with deck and helmsman controls at the bow.
A retractable canopy covers a further seat/locker that is located to starboard, tucked behind the reversible backrest of the helmsman and navigator's bench seat. The helm position comprises of full engine instrumentation including rev counters, volt meter, engine temperature gauge, fuel gauge, power meter, rudder indicator, trim tab indicators and control, bow-thruster control, auto-helm speed depth and log, compass, Autopilot, GPS unit, radar, Morse controls and chart table.
A door to port leads down a little stairwell into the main saloon. Here you will find a C-shaped seating area to starboard that can comfortably seat 6, with a table that is extended via folding leaves. There is also a separate cushioned seat/storage unit that can be used to convert the seating area into a double berth. Storage lockers can be found to port under large opening windows, and there is also the Eberspacher warm air heating control unit, a clock and barometer.
Tidy hatches in the carpeted floor provide access to the engine bay for inspection and checks.
Leading down a few steps from the saloon to starboard is a neat and compact U-shaped galley with a double sink and drainer, 3 burner hob, oven and grill, 12v refrigerator, extractor fan, and plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage.
Opposite the galley is the first of two toilet and shower compartments with a manual pump toilet to holding tank, wash basin with hot and cold running water, vanity unit with storage, and a shower with curtain.
In the forward cabin is 2 V-shaped berths with reading lights, a hanging locker to port, a custom-built storage shelf in the bow, and access to an escape hatch above.
Returning to the saloon, a small stairwell leading under the cockpit leads to the spacious aft cabin with an island bed, reading lamps, a variety of storage units and lockers, access to an escape hatch, a vanity unit, mirrors, and en-suite toilet and shower compartment. The en-suite comprises an electric toilet to holding tank, wash basin, vanity mirror, toiletry storage unit, and a separate shower unit with curtain.
Winedown is powered by 2 x Mercruiser 220 hp diesel engines, and comes completes with everything needed to start your river or coastal adventure. Her Boat Safety Scheme certificate is valid until June 2026 and she was last serviced in May 2023.
