This spacious fibreglass/GRP 39ft (11.9ms) Wilds’ Caribbean Cruiser is the perfect home or boat for a long-weekend. At 12ft (3.7ms) wide, the living and kitchen area is a generous space to live and relax in. The large and sliding windows make the space bright and welcoming, in the summer it’s the perfect sun-trap. There is plenty of outdoor space, including a seated cockpit & roof terrace, great for dinner or drinks. The full-sized sofa is positioned opposite a newly installed log burner which has a specification to give out maximum heat – perfect for cold winter nights. The thermally lined curtains also add a touch of colour to the interior but have been cleverly selected for their thermal qualities. The neat L-shaped kitchen is fitted with a full-size, A++ rated fridge/freezer and three ring gas hob and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is a totally waterproofed wet room to make best use of the space, the Murco water heater gives a great shower, even in the coldest months. At the rear is a homely double bedroom. The bedroom has two fitted wardrobes and some great hidden storage spaces for suitcases, clothes and other bits and bobs.
The high-spec solar panel (1KW) and battery system (230V, 768Ah, Victron 150/70 MPPT Solar Controller) mean as a liveaboard we have lived on purely solar energy for approximately 9 months of the year. A newly purchased 2.2KW petrol compact generator is also included for topping up the batteries in the dead of winter. In August 2020 the boat passed its Boat Safety Certificate.
The good – this has been our home for the past 3 years. We have travelled from Reading to Hackney in London to Windsor. We have had some amazing adventures including mooring opposite Hampton Court Palace and jumping off the side for a swim in the summer. In the winter with the log burner going it is such an idyllic and cosy space. It really has been the best home and we are sad to say goodbye to it and boat life.
The bad – The diesel engine is the original Perkins 4. 108, making the top speed more like brisk walking pace, but it is extremely reliable when cared for correctly (we can show you).
The ugly – The boat is currently partially repainted and the bathroom floor needs replacing. Due to personal circumstance we have been unable to finish these. But we do have the paint – the primer and then polyurethane sage for the body and black for the hull. These will come with the boat.
Please note the boat comes with no mooring rights but is currently moored between Marlow and Windsor on the Thames. Price open to negotiation and possible options for delivery on discussion.
